DID YOU USE ePassporte?
THERE'S AN EASY SWITCH TO eWalletXpress.com. See
Details on the Sidebar on the
right!
ePassporte.com is joining Neteller,
PartyPoker and others in closing shop to U.S. players.
This causes two major issues for online poker players.
ONE, how do you protect your money? TWO, how do you
keep enjoying your online hobby?
This Special Edition
Newsletter will help you answer those
questions in a way that not only helps you keep
playing, but also helps you keep winning. The first
thing to know is that nothing has changed with U.S.
poker laws. Individuals are allowed to play poker
online. If you have questions about your particular
situation, you should talk to your lawyer. But online
poker is still a great hobby and a great way to make
extra money. If anything the competition is becoming
easier. You just need to learn about the new methods
of transferring money.
In
the articles below we will address not only how to
survive with the demise of ePassporte, but also how to
thrive and increase your winnings on all levels and
games. Please keep reading to find out
how.

Withdrawing Money From
ePassporte and Other Sites Here's How
- Act Now
ePassporte is allowing
individual withdrawals. What has happened is that they
have notified poker sites that they will no longer be
processing transactions with them. You can withdraw
the money you have in ePassporte. Here's how:
1.
If you have an ePassporte debit card, go withdraw your
money from an ATM. I have found that Wells Fargo ATMs
allow the largest per day withdrawal of $500. Visit
the ATM each day until all your money is withdrawn
from ePassporte.
2.
If you have a major online purchase to make then use
your electronic ePassporte card number to make that
purchase (or purchases). Save your normal bank funds
and use your electronic ePassporte card until you
withdraw all the funds from your account.
3.
Initiate a bank transfer from ePassporte to withdraw
the funds to your bank account. Between these three
methods you should have no trouble extracting money
from ePassport.
WITHDRAWALS FROM POKER
SITES
All
sites have a paper check withdrawal method. If you
haven't used this method before, here's my experience
with paper check withdrawals.
1.
Paper checks take longer than electronic withdrawals:
up to three weeks in many instances.
2.
Your check will come from a U.S. based
"Rebate" or "Finance" company.
They are not "foreign" checks and they do
not have the name of the poker site on them. Deposits
to your bank work the same as any out of state check.
You may have a 5 business day hold put on the check,
but it will clear without issue.
2.
The withdrawal minimum might be higher than electronic
withdrawals and there may be a fee. It depends on the
site. If you are a hobby player then there are costs
to any hobby, and you should just consider this a
small hobby expense. If you play poker for profits
then it's just a small business expense.
THE
BOTTOM LINE: I withdraw thousands of dollars per month
from sites via check and have never had any issue. So,
this is a perfectly viable method for moving funds.
How To Win More Money From These
Changes
The
Competition is Getting Easier
Believe it or not, these changes are actually
making the competition easier and will continue to do
so. As U.S. players decrease sites are marketing more
to players outside the U.S. and Canada. Simply put:
these players suck, for the most part. European,
Eastern European, Russian, Greek, Chinese and other
non-U.S. players aren't as good as their U.S.
counterparts at poker.
Here's why Non-U.S. players are
easier to beat.
1. Non-U.S. players don't have the benefit
of MOST of the U.S. poker instructions books and
sites. First, many don't read English. Second, they
don't have these books at local bookstores and many
can't really order them online either. This means
that they are playing a very unTrained and
unDisciplined poker. They limp too much, they call
too much, they play weak or they play wild. Either
way this makes for larger average pot sizes and more
players in the pot preflop. Both of these are good
for Performance Poker and/or Tight Aggressive poker
players.
2.
Non-U.S. players believe in LUCK. That's not a
personal opinion. It's something I learned from
training many non-U.S. players. You'll notice how
much higher the pot sizes become as the % of non-U.S.
players increases. This is because they think
"anything can happen". They often play
their hopes and dreams instead of solid poker
strategy. This means they overpay for their drawing
hands, they call often with top pair/back kicker, 2nd
pair or worse. In a word they are BAD.
Simply put, without good information they
don't play good poker. It's not their fault. Poker
simply isn't as wide-spread in many other countries.
As a result good poker training and books are almost
non-existent. As you play notice how the percentage
of U.S. players is dropping and the pot sizes and
preflop calling % are increasing. This is GREAT!
I've targeted sites with many non-U.S. players for
years because of this. They translate into easier
wins and larger wins for you.
So,
even through moving money is a little tougher without
ePassporte, it's well worth the effort if you enjoy
winning big pots on a consistent basis. Take the time
to find out for yourself.
